Old Scout
6 and 7 year old barrels with a high rye content of 36%, this fine whiskey has exceptional taste and smoothness. Non chill filtered, non carbon filtered. A robust 99 proof, it’s strong, but deliciously drinkable like all of Smooth Ambler’s offerings. Bold, sweet-spicy flavors with subtle apple, cherry and tobacco aroma.

Old Scout Rye
Old Scout Straight Rye Whiskey is a part of our Old Scout line of whiskey that we “merchant bottle”. It’s a 7 year old whiskey using a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. You’ll like the sweet and smooth character while it still retains the spicy and bold notes for which all good ryes are known. Black tea, honey, baking spices and a bit of mint make this a powerful whiskey that’s enjoyed neat or stands up well in a cocktail.
Yearling
Our handmade, limited release double-pot distilled bourbon comes from a unique mash of corn, wheat, and barley. Rich and remarkably smooth taste is assured with small cask aging in our own West Virginia rick house. Naturally sweet with caramel and butterscotch aromas and subtle notes of grain, wood, and tobacco.

Greenbrier Gin
With serious citrus, a bit of black-pepper spice, and light and pleasant Juniper notes, Smooth Ambler Greenbrier Gin exudes the cool smoothness our brand-name implies. Our gin is designed to have a rich and luxurious mouth-feel, without being overly “piney” like a lot of typical, by-the-book Dry, British gins. Named for our home, the hills that surround us, and the birthplace of the pace of life where Smooth Ambler was born, Smooth Ambler Greenbrier Gin is served as well in a Gin and Ginger as it is in a classic Gin and Tonic – or wherever else you want it to Amble.

Barrel Aged Gin
Using our award winning Smooth Ambler Greenbrier Gin as the base distillate, we age half of this product in new bourbon barrels and the other half in used Old Scout bourbon barrels for 3 months. This aging adds unique flavors of burnt caramel and burnt sugar with a bit of lemon meringue notes. It sips like a gin and finishes like a whiskey. It can be used anywhere a standard London Dry gin would be used, but it’s best in cocktails.
Whitewater Vodka
Clean and crisp, but with a sweet, buttery, caramel undertone, Smooth Ambler Whitewater Vodka is made from the finest American grains and some of the same mountain water responsible for the rush and exhilaration of the world-renowned rapids it’s named after. Triple distilled in a pot-and-column still, carbon filtered, chill-filtered, and guided completely by hand until we number and fill each bottle, we think you’ll find Smooth Ambler Whitewater Vodka to be a superior drinking experience whether you enjoy it in a classic concoction or a recent invention.
